Hi, I reently posted a few problems with my pc, I though it was the psu but a friend give me a tester and show that it is good. I try with one new stick of ram and the problem persist.

The problem is when I turn it on don`t post. If I have enable the dual bios it restart until can boot. In single bios have to hard reset until boot. This happen a few months ago, with another mobo. I change it and with the new one it's the same. Yesterday bougth a single stick of new ram (Kingstone 4 GB 1333) to discard if any of my sticks were bad, but the same.

I don`t know what it can be. New mobo, ram, tested the psu and pass. Need help

I leave you photos of the tester and a video of the problem.

Did it ever boot up?

Does it ever boot up?

You may have a dead CPU or it needs to be re-seated.

But before you do that make sure you troubleshoot by removing all un-needed Peripherals, (i.e. Sound-card, wireless, GPU(Only if the motherboard has on-board graphics) )

Re-seat RAM one stick at a time and the Graphics card.

Ensure all system cables are completely inserted correctly.

Usually in a situation like this it is not the PSU (and since you used a tester i think we can rule that out entirely)

What are the machine specs?

The only thing we have to fear is... Stupidity...

This build worked solid about one year. About two months ago appear this problem. I trougth it was only the mobo, but with the new mobo the problem persist.

I tested only the mobo + cpu + ram.

Tested the two sticks and the 4 sockets for ram. Buy a new stick of ram, same results.

Reseat ram, cpu, cooler. Change the cables of cpu, gpu, sata etc.

When it can boot I can enter te bios/uefi. The temps of the cpu are good (34º C) and I leave it long time (about 2 hours) and everthing works fine. The same with the ram, recognize it.

Cant boot the windows installation, it`s freeze at the logo, the same with any live linux distro. I tried others usb ports (2.0 and 3.0) and other usb sticks and diferents isos.

The only thing that make sense is a bad psu, but the tester say its good:o.

Not at this mobo, with the old one yes it was OC to 4.5 Ghz and work good one year. And my friend test the mobo with a i3 and works, tried my i5 with another mobo and freeze when it load the graphical driver. He is doing more test to see what is happening. But it seem that I have to buy a new CPU.

Sorry to revive this thread, but it was the cpu. It's dead, don't know how or when but it's damaged. My friend (who work at a pc workshop and have more exprience at hardware) fix the firts mobo too. So all I need is a new i5 4690k.

Thanks for the help guys.
