hey guys just wanted to ask if the noctua u12s would interfere with the first pci-e slot on an asus z87M plus. Noctua coolers look pretty big and yeh

The heat sink itself probably won't but its the wire clips that hold on to the fan might be an issue....but it shouldn't.

unless i get a low profile cooler, im only going to oc to about 4ghz.

you might facepalm at me but i have heard its kinda hard to install and this being my first build i dont want to screw anything up

It's not that hard but it's a bit difficult. But that should not deter you from getting it. Just take your time installing it and read the instructions.

It's not that hard but it's a bit difficult. But that should not deter you from getting it. Just take your time installing it and read the instructions.

unfortunately this cooler and every other air cooler i look at are 160mm and the case im getting (bitfenix shinobi) only has 160mm clearance so im going to go with a h60

The 212 Evo is 159mm it's going to be reallly snug but ti will fit. My old case the NZXT source 210 elite had a clearance of 160 and it fit in there. I would not go with the H60, the evo would perform better than that.

im going to go with the noctua c12p, noctua's site says its fully compatible
