So im buying my first custom desktop for the primary use of gaming but also some 3D Modeling/Editing. Im having a hard time choosing what cpu i should go far as my budget is on approx. 650$. Currently what im considering is this:

CPU: AMD Fx 6300

Motherboard: MSI 970A SLI Krait Edition Socket AM3+

GPU: EVGA Geforce GTX 750 ti FTW Ed.

Memory: HyperX Fury 2x4gb DDR3

PSU: Not sure yet but 80+ Bronze certified 500w is what im most likely going to go for

Case: Cooler Master CM Force 500 Mid Tower/In-Win Mana 136 Mid Tower

Hard Drives/SSD: Kingston SSDNow 120gb. Have some hard drives that i can use so im not including that here.

My question is mostly whether i should change any of the parts for something else and whether or not i should invest some more money into an intel skylake processor? Im also very unsure whether or not i should go for an amd card in the same price range as the gtx 750 ti that would give me the same performance...

Feel free to recommend me something else, im very open for suggestions.

A Skylake Core i3 would be better for gaming, but worse for your non-gaming workloads.

The Kingston V300 is pretty slow, might want to think about something different.

So i should go for the amd processor? How much difference is there from the fx 6300 to the fx 8320 because i might be able to fit that into my budget if the computing difference is good enough.

Almost a third more multithreaded performance. Same or slightly worse singlethreaded performance (affecting most games). AMD is good if you can't afford a Core i5, but if you're in the US a build like marciii suggests would be better.

Where do you live?

You should try for an i5.  Stay away from the FX CPUs.  They do not compete as far as value (price/performance) goes.  If you have to factor in all the cooling to even begin to look like a decent CPU, then you might as well grab the i5.

As far as GPU, find out if your modelling programs support Open CL.  You don't always need CUDA cores to model.

Personally, for $10 more, I would switch the 1 TB HDD for a 240 GB SSD.  You can always add the HDD later on:  http://de.pcpartpicker.com/part/crucial-internal-hard-drive-ct240bx200ssd1
