First of all, sorry if i make mistakes but English is not my native language.

I need advice regarding my current pc and what should I buy and build to run games like CS:GO, Skyrim ( with mods) and video editing.

So first my current pc specs:

-CPU: Intel i7 870 2.9 Ghz

-Motherboard: Asus P7P55D Pro LGA 1156 socket

-Memory: Kingston 8gb (2x2gb, 1x4gb) ddr3 668.3 mhz

-Storage: Western Digital 1TB

-Video Card: AMD Radeon HD 5700 Series

-Case: cooler master cm 690

As I said earlier, i want to game at 1080p 60fps not so demanding games because i have a PS4 (yes, i'm not pc master race) and edit videos (gameplays etc) so i need help as if i need to build one pc from scratch or re-use parts of my current pc. I also have a budget of around 500-650 $ (the lower the better)

man idk if you can stay in the price range because you basically need to build a whole new system,  a GTX 970 is gonna run you around 300 bucks to run skyrim with mods at 60 FPS, but hopefully im wrong and theres something cheaper out there that you can use.

If you agree with my advice/Recommendation please give me a thumbs up. Thank you

I agree with @Kolden here; not a lot of that system is useful for 1080p@60fps on Skyrim, which despite being old, can be very demanding with mods. About all you could realistically reuse is the 1TB HDD (though it would be best with an additional SSD as a boot drive), the case and maybe your PSU, but you didn't mention what that is.

So I would re-use the case and the harddrive and get this:

and a case that doesnt add anymore cost, that can fit the 970 beast :D

(the 970 recommends 16 gigs of memory if i recall)

If you agree with my advice/Recommendation please give me a thumbs up. Thank you

I'm really new to pc builds so every help is appreciated :D I came where because i think it's the best way to get advices.

I'm not really sure if the case can support the 970 and if it did with wouldn't be much space left

the 970 requires approx 12 inches of clearance.

If you agree with my advice/Recommendation please give me a thumbs up. Thank you

I would recommend the Phantom 410 in my signature, or any case that has a modular style drive bay system where you can remove the drive bays.

If you agree with my advice/Recommendation please give me a thumbs up. Thank you
