key problems.. from enterprise to pro ?

so I had a key, then I had to get rid of it (problems..)  but now im stuck with a deactivated version of windows 10 enterprise.

I want windows 10 pro, activated.


can I just get a windows 7 home premium key and activate with that ? (or windows 8 pro ?)

 

will I have to reinstal windows ?

Your key has to match the version of windows you have. Except Windows 10 can use their respective Windows 7 and up Edition Key.

A Win 7/8.1 key should work on 10 (Unless Microsoft did some douche move recently)

We do not encourage the use of private software /OS. It's against the forum community standard. If you are upgrading from window 7 /8.1 be sure that you have the matching version of Windows 10 for example 

 

Windows 7 home premium >windows 10 home 

 

Windows 8 pro > windows 10 pro.
