I heard about the Alienware Graphics Amplifier, and the upcoming Razer Core. I was wondering about the connector in the alienware one, is it USB-C? USB 3.0(I do not know how they would get that working)? Some special connector. I heard from a guy that it is USB 3.0, but I can't find anything confirming that on the internet.

Also, is there any amplifier that uses USB 3.0, or any way to turn one to use 3.0(USB-C into a USB 3.0?)

Connector on the Alienware Graphics Amplifier is proprietary.

Is there anything available/coming out soon that would work on most laptops?

I'm not sure.

BAM!

Found this. This is pretty interesting, I have a spare mPCIe slot, so I'll probably be getting this and a GTX 960/970, since my processor goes up to 20% usage while my GPU caps out :/
