So I'm looking to buy a new laptop, but struggling to find glossy screen premium laptops these days. My last laptop was a glossy screen and looking in store at non glare matte vs glossy I really prefer the latter.

Anyway, Alienware seem to have opted for matte screens now, Asus too, and Aorus etc. Does anybody know if any of the major manufacturers do screen choice/ options? Most of the websites I've looked at don't seem to offer the option. I'm asking here because I've seen a lot of people mentioning getting screen replacements for faulty screens, so it might be possible?

The EVGA SC17 looks promising, but as of yet there's no release date or pricing information etc.  I was leaning towards Asus but they seem to exclusively do matte screens...

you might have to look at the more boutique manufacturers, like ibuypower to get more configuration options.

If that does not work, try the below link to remove the anti glare coating from the screen after the fact (it can be very risky if you are not accustomed to taking apart laptops). I did it with my msi gs70, as the anti glare coating made the screen seem very blurry.

That does look pretty hardcore to me!  But i'm glad at least someone agrees with me about the blurriness on some antiglare screen.  The refraction on the pixels totally ruins hi def screens for me.

Yeah, bad anti glare coating ruin monitors for me. Many people hate glossy, but i prefer the slightly more vibrant colors...

The only sure way of getting a glossy screen these days is by selecting the more expensive touch screen model.

If you do find a gaming laptop with a glossy screen please update this post :)

You are definitely not the only one who prefers a crisp colorful display !
