Hi guys,

I am currently putting together components for a new pc i am building. as you will see in a moment i have kind of gone in the wrong order in terms of buying things as all i need now is a CPU and motherboard, basically i have not been able to make up my mind as to what i want and have bought at the other bits as an when offers have come up.

What i have currently:

Corsair Carbide Series SPEC-02
Cooler Master Hyper T4 CPU Cooler

Corsair CX 600

Kingston 120 GB Solid State Drive

8GB (2x4GB) Crucial Ballistics Sport 1600mhz

WD blue 500gb HDD

Gigabyte NVIDIA GTX 660 Graphics Card (3GB, DDR5)

what i am looking for is recommendations for a cpu and motherboard

1. Budget & Location

My total budget is £150.00 (could stretch to £200.00 if it would be a significant benefit but would like to keep it lower if possible) i am based in the UK, preferably i would like new parts (to help reduce costs i have amazon prime to save on postage if parts can be suggested from there) and if used parts are recommended i would rather stay away from ebay as i have had bad experiences as or recent.

2. Aim

Really this whole project started as i was getting bored of my xbox 360 and i want to go back to PC gaming, namely at the moment i want to play fallout 4 at relatively decent setting i.e. 1080p med settings or better

3. Monitors

for the time being this will be running of of a 42" tv via hdmi, i know its not ideal and in the future i will be buying a proper monitor

4. Peripherals

I already have a keyboard an mouse etc, on a side note i am going to get a wifi pci card any suggestions on this also for the time being i will be using a usb adaptor that i already have but it is ancient so i will upgrade it in the future. An OS is not required as i have a win 8.1 key

5. Why are you upgrading?

as stated above basically i want a rig to play fallout 4 with decent settings however am also thinking of upgradability in the future so if posible please note which socket type would be more beneficial for future upgrades (i assume intel will be better for this than amd.

Thank you for taking the time to read this post and for any future advice.

regards

Mark
