Cpu crashing maby?

My cpu keeps bottlenecking and messing up my lonely nights of siting in a dark room gaming I think I need a new cpu but I don't know witch one to get

Cpu Intel i5-4460

Mobo asus z87 - pro

Gpu asus geforce get 970

Psu evga 600 b

Vram 16 GB

What happens? Are you crashing? What are your temps?

Ya I play games and (*fart sound*) it doesn't really turn off but the screen goes blank I was having this problem before but I thought I fixed it by installing drivers witch leads me to belive it's my cpu
