I'm wanting to get into coding in C++ and hopefully code for games in some way in the future. I've been reading tutorials (http://www.cplusplus.com/doc/tutorial/) and attempting to teach my self. I could use some help with finding a good FREE compiler. and i don't know what type of things i should start coding i have the basic "hello world" thing down (haven't tested it but compared it to the tutorials site and it matches) i don't want something to hard but not the hello world thing. the program doesn't even need to serve any real purpose just a learning exercise.is the tutorial site im using good and up to date? btw im using windows 7 and or vista (two computers) thank you.
