Laptop for school

Ok so I'm currently using a 8 year old Dell XPS M1210 upgraded beast of a laptop from 2008 (upgraded with the ram, hdd, and windows) and I'm thinking on finally getting a new laptop my budget would be $1000 any ideas on a laptop that would be light enough to bring to school, handle mid gaming (I mainly play World of Tanks and other games with similar level of graphics) and be fast enough to edit 1080p videos on
