server Looking for a 1U Case

Hey everyone,

 

I've never posted on this forum before so, hi!

 

I need some help. I am trying to find a good 1u case about 10 inches in depth to house a simple little intel atom server. All it is going to have is the mobo, an SSD, and the PSU. The only problem is I'm having trouble finding a good one for a low price. Does anyone either know of a good one or know a good case manufacturer?

rackmount stuff is expensive

1u is a very rare critter because of the limited amount of compatible hardware

server gear is built as cheap as possible (saving 2 bucks on a case can be a lot of money for a datacenter)

 

=> cheap, good, and 1u arent gonna come in one package.

The company I've typically relied on for finding rack chassis is PlinkUSA. They've got a good selection there.

They can, it's just not an easy find. Also these are systems I am building to resell as part of our service. We intend to order hundreds at a time. That's why I'm thinking of having someone make the case for me, but I was hoping this forum may have some suggestions.
