Hello everybody! I'm here with a build I want to purchase.

Full build list: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/YYMszy

I really want the best performance for the money and I want a ''quiet'' system that doesn't sound like a jet engine when under full load. Please come at me with cheaper options on anything in this build.

I've calculated what it all will cost in SEK which is 9770kr which translates to roughly $1156,35 so i'm right under my budget. Also can someone figure out how much i'll be able to sell my old system for?

Specs:

MB: Asus M5A78L (Had since 2011)

CPU: AMD FX-6300 (Bought in 2015)

GPU: Sapphire Radeon HD7850 2GB (Bought in 2014)

PSU: 630W AXP (I think it's a no name PSU, but i've had it since 2011)

Case: NZXT Lexa S (Had since 2011 and is in good shape)

DVD Reader: A ugly old one

So that's it for this post! I'm really grateful for any replies and i'm happy to be part of this community!

The power supply you picked is crap. Get an EVGA G2, GS or GQ, XFX XTR or TS, Seasonic X or G instead.

I'd also get a 250GB SSD such as an AData SP550, Samsung 850evo or Crucial BX100.

Should I get the 650W version then? I'm looking to get an SSD in the near future, nothing I really need at the moment.

Welcome!

My thoughts:

1. Why buy a K-Series processor and a motherboard that isn't designed to overclock?

2. SSD! Worth it to get one now and a hard drive later when you need it

3. A 650 W power supply will be fine, the CX haters will be coming.

Can you give me an example of a good, cheap motherboard that can overclock some then? So I should pick an SSD of what size instead of a 1TB HDD?

Any Z97 motherboards should be fine.

I'd get a 1TB HDD over an 120GB SSD because a single 120GB drive is not enough.

That's how I felt aswell with the HDD, I feel it's better to get an SSD later on. Would the ASUS Z97-P be a good choice?

Saphire 390, Z97 Motherboard, CPU Cooler, better PSU.

Going to go for the Sapphire R9 390 Nitro, Asus Z97-P. I have a Cooler Master Seidon 120V in my old build that i'm keeping for the new build.

So I just felt to go to game-debate and do the spec testing on some games, it says that the CPU is bottlenecking and tells me to go grab a Intel Xeon E5-2695 v2, lmao.

Okay, don't what to say about about that. It's simply utter nonsense. I'm still not sure what your actual build is supposed to look like.

My thoughts:

1. If you don't intend on OC, get the Xeon 1231v3

2. Get a B85 board (I suggest Asrock B85 Killer, Gigabyte G1 Sniper B6), for your hardware choice it's more efficient

3. Asus doesn't have a good reputation on AMD cards, get from MSI or Sapphire

4. I suggest keeping the old case and save some money, use those on SSD, they boost your rig's speed pretty well

Well, should I sell my current PC as a whole or separate parts? But I still want a new case. Why is the B85 more efficient for my choice of hardware?

Oh, I just realized that you didn't include a CPU cooler. Since you chose the K-version, be sure to get a CPU cooler.

I have a tip for you, read all the replies on this thread and you'd already know I have a liquid CPU cooler in my current rig that i'm keeping.
