i have an hour long recording...

i know it recorded myself and my guest...

but the recording of my voice is incredibly quiet, while my guest is at a normal sound level.

how do i raise the volume of the quiet sections without raising the volume of the normal sections?

There are a couple of solutions but each are painfully laborious.

Split the audio sections you talk into sections and raise the volume of them, either by putting them in a second track and raising the track gain or increasing the volume of each. Depending on the quality of your audio, you will probably have to pass a noise reduction filter so the change in noise isn't offsetting and annoying.

The better solution is to leave the audio as is, and add captions every time you speak. This will work well if what you have spent an hour recording is an interview/Q&A type of thing, however you haven't said, so one can only assume. Good luck!
