Cpu overheating. Possible pump failure.

Go to solution Solved by Norwegianviking,

After 2.5 hours of trying to find this out I now know that my pump is done on my h60. Shows 0 rpm on the fan controller and is not making noice. Tubing is also cold both ways. Will have to be ordering a new cpu cooler in the coming days but for now I will have to use my stock cooler.

Thank you guys for the help anyways.

So I left my computer running for a 4 hours today when I was out working. I came back and went on teamspeak and my computer crashed. When I booted it up I hod a warning my overclock failed so I had to reset my bios. When I entered the bios I noticed that the cpu was laying on 99 C. Thought that the sensor was just messed up. I then check the two cpu fans that I have on my radiator and they where cool. So I just booted it back up again but it once again failed becouse of the overclock. I try a 3rd time after a bit and I manage to boot up first thing I do was to open real temp. It still told me that the cpu was at 90-99 Celsius and the cpu had a max core clock of 800 MHZ. I then suspected the pump not going so I feelt on the black and it was REALLY hot. I'm waiting before getting a different cpu fan Untill I've found out some more about this. Anyone else got some ideas what it can be?

Would you recommend maybe a bit more thermal paste?

Attempt failed. Cpu still goes between 90-100 but as it doesn't rise more then that and isn't thermal throttling so I'm guessing it's not the pump then.

So it's not stuck at 800 mhz now?

Sensor could just be off. Try leaving you pc off for a little while, maybe like 30 min or so and see if that helps?

Will try seing the temps are dropping a bit now

Make paper into a cone shape and bring it to the CPU with your ear to the thinner end, you might be able to hear it better than if you didn't, that way you'll know for sure almost.
