So i will be starting a program with my local college studying Industrial Design Technology and i NEED a new laptop..the problem is I kindof want something i can game on because my family goes on long vacations every year or so and i get bored lol. So obviously any gaming laptop would be strong enough to support any CADD load i could throw at it, so i was sold on getting one of the GTX980 full size laptops and being happy. But then i saw this: http://www.wacom.com/en-us/products/pen-displays/cintiq-22-hd-touch which is about the same price as i was ok with spending on a gaming laptop, and would provide a much better experience for me doing my drawing for school, but i worry it wouldnt be able to support a CADD program and i certainly wouldnt be able to game or do anything other than draw on it [i assume] So what do you think LTT Forums?

What i really need is like a real powerful windows slate computer [maybe the surface pro 4...idk] so that i can play games on it when i want, have a digitizer stylus when i want/need to draw, and have the horsepower under the hood to not have to worry about doing any of those things, along with a nice smallish form factor

Why not just buy the 980 laptop and a separate tablet for drawing? Solution for both xD

Lol because the proper drawing slate is about 2200 bucks and a GTX laptop would be about the same price
