I have been playing a lot of portal lately and I have noticed every one and a while my pc screen goes black but all my fans are spinning my monitor is the BenQ GL2460.

 

This happens in any source engine games

MOBO: GIGABYTE F2A58M-HD2

CPU: AMD ATHLON 860k

GPU: R9 380 XFX 4gb

RAM: 2x4gb HyperX Fury

I have a EVGA 650G and did a clean install whenever it happened before

What would be better the DVI im on or HDMI?

I can run Borderlands 2 for hours on end and nothing happens, But when it comes to the source engine it does it
