For the past 4 or 5 weeks, I have been having more and more problems with my 850 Pro 512gb SSD. It started with when I did a fresh install of windows when I bought a new motherboard (I did a clean install, deleting and formatting all partitions during the windows installer) since my first ones PCIe port latch for the GPU snapped when I moved. The main problem that I have had is that its IOps have been very low compared to what I was getting with my old motherboard. Before I was getting my 100,000 iOPS read and 90,000 write as advertised by Samsung, now I can't get above 45,000 - 50,000 at best. I do not nor have I ever used samsung's turbo mode, so I know that's not the issue. I use the Samsung Magician software to configure everything and run those speed tests. Other drive testing tools have shown similar results. The other problem that I thought was strange is that occasionally if i try to edit or create a partition, it just outright fails with an error, or it would just hang indefinitely trying to perform the operation and I would have to force shut down the machine. Now when I turn on the PC it posts and then I instantly get a BSOD that says ntfs_file_system. I looked this up on google but didn't really find anything useful. Since this has rendered my PC useless, it has me absolutely stumped and could use some advice. Here is a list of everything I have tried and/or tested:

-tried different SATA ports and cables

-checked all BIOS settings for anything that could affect it

-checked for malware using several tools

-checked for any data corruption

-ran drive diagnostics

-checked s.m.a.r.t values

Here is my PCPartPicker build list if it helps: PCPartPicker Build list

Sounds like the drive died. I'd request an RMA if your within warranty period.

My Rig: 2x Xeon x5690 @ 3.45Ghz 24GB DDR3 EEC RAM Asus STRIX GeForce GTX 970 SuperMicro X8DT3 Windows Server 2008 R2

Here's a little TL;DR of what you need to know about the GTX 970 and R9 390

R9 390 works better in VRAM-bound scenarios and compute bound scenarios and is best paired with higher end processors

GTX 970 works better in CPU-bound scenarios and tessellation bound scenarios and is best paired with lower end processors

I've only had the drive about a year give or take a month or two. I would rather do an RMA as a last resort, it'd take a while for them to send me a new one, not to mention I'd have to go through days worth of installing and configuring programs, restoring personal data, etc.
