Motherboard errors! PLEASE HELP!!

royalba94

So I have had this Evga X99 Micro sitting on the shelf for a few months and now that I finally get it out to use it I'm getting cmos checksum errors and my keyboard isn't being realized  (I can't do anything). Attached is a video of what's happening.

Any and all help appreciated, I've tried all I all I know!

F1 will allow you to use the system normally

This error means 1 of two things

1. The battery is dead

2. The bios was reset

the solution to number 1 is get another battery

Ok, I'll get another battery and try that buy I press f1 with the keyboard hooked up and everything but nothing happens. It's not the keyboard, I know it works fine

Is it a new battery? It should be past the second "O" in "GOOD" on an analog battery tester if you have one. Car remotes often use the same type of battery (CR2032), you could try it in there and see if it works.

Is the keyboard plugged into one of the USB 2.0 ports and not one of the 3.0 ports? Shouldn't make a difference, but worth a shot.

Good luck!

OK just wanted to check, that's a really weird issue. Have you tried a different keyboard? I know that the current one is good, but it doesn't hurt to try! Too bad there's no PS/2 port so you could bypass possible USB issues.

I did see a 9C error code on the UEFI code display, have you tried swapping RAM sticks around?
