Check out this thread :)

EDIT:

Realized that thread is pretty old and not up to date.

I'll answer as best as i can.

In terms of clock speed, if you leave everything at stock, it's likely the gigabyte one will have a higher clockspeed. However, that is not for certain. The boost clock can be higher than what's specified. I personally had an FTW card that had a stock boost clock of 1430 Mhz. I have not owned the gigabyte card so I can't comment on that one.

In terms of cooling performance and acoustic levels. I'm wiling to bet the gigabyte card will cool better and sound quieter given it's a 3 fan design. FTW honestly, is not a quite card. I have owned Asus Strix, MSI Gaming 6G, and the FTW card. The FTW is by far the loudest with the Strix (also 3 fan design) being the quitest.

In terms of overclocking, the FTW offers a BIOS switch to allow 120% power limit. It also uses 8+2 power phase to power the GPU supposedly giving it better than average overclockability. The gigabyte one has 12+2 power phase. They also state it has an LN2 BIOS with an extra 6 pin connector. From that alone I can tell you, in terms of power delivery, the gigabyte outright wins this (if gigabyte's claim is true). For comparison, EVGA's LN2 card is the kingpin which sports 14+3 power phase.

In terms of customer support, I believe EVGA wins this one. I don't know how gigabyte's support is, but EVGA's customer support is top notch. There's live chat (for US), direct customer service (like directly RMAing with EVGA), and great long term support (ex: swapping broken 570 with 960). Again, I don't know how gigabyte's customer service is, never dealt with them, but EVGA's is top notch. Especially if you live in the US.

Personal preference mostly. Mobo I bought from them couldn't OC my Phenom II at the time; then a gfx card a few years later a bought for a friend died within a few months.

Never had that problem with Asus or EVGA.

Mileage may vary.

Thank you.  Was their customer support ok?

Arguably the worst customer service in the industry, in my experience the worst customer service of any industry I've ever had to deal with.

If anyone asks you never saw me.
