Help with windows 8.1 (again)

Just to confirm:
This is for windows 8.1 right ? : https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows8ISO
So last week I won a windows 8.1 key from reddit, and I downloaded that to a USB drive.
Now I'm trying to use the key but it kept on saying, "the key is not found on the list of windows keys" or something.
Basically, it wont accept the key.

Is there something I should do first or is the key actually fake ?

Try it one more time, if it won't work, i's probaply already used.

Been trying. No luck.

I was able to install windows 8.1 on my disk, but it says it's not activated.

When I tried activating it using the key, it said, "This key cannot be used to activate windows. Please try another key."

You could try calling the microsoft helpdesk and see if the can do something for you or tell you something about the key.

Update, I called MS support and it turns out that the key is for Windows 8.1 Pro. I'm installed Windows 8.1 Home. *facepalm*

Everything's fine now.

Hey, good for you!!! This was one of those things where it's just better to call them.
