So I'm trying to make a tiny gaming powerhouse (its going in an ammo can, will post the build process later) and I need some suggestions on a Mini ITX MOBO, CPU, and RAM. Heres what I was planning on using based off some suggestions in other threads:

EVGA Z170 Stinger Mini ITX MOBO

16 GB Crucial DDR4 (2x 8)

i7 6700k CPU

Here is the full build so far if interested: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/HwBkFT

I haven't decided on a GPU yet, thats why it is not included. The color scheme is black/green. I am trying to put in all black/green components (willing to paint some parts if possible/needed). I will be sleeving the cables in OD Green, Grey, and Black then putting sleeved green LEDs around the case to light things up.

My biggest concern is buying the right MOBO. I don't want to have a lot off issues and have literally zero experience/preference in picking a good one as I've used the same motherboard since 2004.

Any suggestions/tips are appreciated!

I have the ASROCK Z170 Gaming motherboard ITX/ac. It's pretty good. EVGA is kinda new to the motherboard industry so I don't know if I would trust their BIOS over the more proven brands.

For RAM I would get http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0134EW7G8?keywords=16gb%20corsair%20ddr4&qid=1455123938&ref_=sr_1_8&sr=8-8

For CPU cooler I would def get atleast a double 120 rad like a H100i or H110i.

Good suggestion on the motherboard, thanks. I have had good experiences with EVGA for my current GPU and PSU, but I have read quite a few reviews saying the bios on the board has problems.

That Corsair RAM will save me a few buck and looks just as nice as the Crucial, thanks!

That CPU cooler will be tricky to fit in to the build, but I think I can make it work. Do you think I'll need that cooling for running without overclocking or only if I want to overclock?

a good gpu for a tiny build would be the r9 nano. 50-60% of the length of the avg gpu and able to play at 1440p and with the right settings the occasional 4k

That is one of the GPUs I've been looking at. There really isnt anything else that size with the same level of performance that I can find. Gunna take a while to save up that $500 USD though haha.

I don't want to make another post and spam the forum, so hopefully people still read this.

I'm thinking about going with this ASUS MOBO since Ive had great experiences with ASUS branded MOBOs so far.

My question is, will I hurt anything if I paint over the red lines?
