Hi everyone,

I'm currntly using the R.A.T. 9 from Mad Catz and I am very hapy with it but the sensor is doing funny things, whitch I know is a known issue and so I want to switch.

So I am looking for a similar mouse.

I wan't a mouse with at least 3 programmable buttons like in the RAT9. I don't want a mouse with 9 or more buttons, because I get lost amongst them. 3 or 4 well separated buttnos is what I'm looking for.

The other thing I want is wireless. I don't mind if you need to charge it with a cable or you need to swap batteryes like in the RAT9 but wireless functionality is very important.

Adjustability is nice to have and I like weight adjustment as my hand are shaky and a heavy mouse, with all the weights installed absorbs that shake. But these I'm willing to sacrafice.

So is there a similar mouse in similar price range or cheaper?

Gaming but wireless? well that's a weird choice but maybe a SteelSeries Sensei wireless would do?
And if you change your mind about wireless a Corsair M65

The Logitech G602 might be what you want. It's wireless and has adjustable weights, it weighs 153g with two batteries (it can be used with one or two AA batteries) it has 6 side buttons though so that may be too much.

Logitech Proteus core, it's the best one I found so far.... Me personally use it for gaming I use it like 10h/each time I played. The sensors is amazing but this mouse came with a flaw. The DPI switch button is somehow is easily clicked that's good if you're a guy that palys game with different sensitivity, like if you play quake and then switch to sniper elite you might find the DPI switch pretty handy. But that's my opinion other people could differ.

The Steelseries has only 2 buttons like most other mouses it's a solid chice but I'm not willing to give up my 3 buttons. But why is wireless so bad? Is the latency so bad? I didn't notice it before.

Logitech G602 looks great, I might choose that. Fun fact, this mouse is so cheap I cold buy Black Ops 3 from the remailnder of the money.

If this mouse would be wireless it would be my go to mouse but like the 3 buttons I don't want to give up my wireless.

Yeah, Wireless is not optimal for gaming, latency can be a pain in some games, specially FPS or RTS.

Interesting, I only play FPS multiplayer games like, CoD, BF. Majbe I should consider a wired mouse.

Wireless latency has decreased a lot since the times where people could see obvious input lag and some say it's not noticeable any more. Wired is still better but it's probably not going to be an issue for you. However the G502 is a great mouse and I think would suit your needs very well.

Hey, fellow R.A.T 9 user here...

I had the same sensor issue you were talking about.
I have found that updating all security patches from Windows Update, and then using a Registry Repair Tool, worked for me. (I used Glarysoft's Registry Repair)

A few weeks back the issue popped up again, but randomly disappeared.
Uninstalling specific programs also helps, I have heard...
