WDS not working

WDS only need to be enabled on 1 router, the primary one or the secondary one, I found it more easy to enable it just in the second one, as I already did it with other routers.

Yes, I can ping a LAN IP's like 192.168.1.1 (Primary router) or my phone that is connected only to the primary router through the second router and IP's over the internet only give me a request time out. If I try to ping the site it shows that it cannot find the host. Tried with www.google.com and it's IP (200.149.119.152)

www.google.com: "Ping request could not find host www.google.com. Please check the name and try again."

200.149.119.152: Request timed out.

Well I thought the primary router initializes the WDS connection, but the secondary can negotiate after. Kind of like WPS vs WPS PIN. Sounds like the WDS is creating the connection but traffic isn't passing from WLAN to LAN on primary router. Try enabling on primary and disable on secondary.

I'm starting to think my second router is not working... But here is how they're setup:

My secondary router (TL-WR720N) is connected to my Primary router (TL-WR741N) with the WDS option only enabled on the secondary router.

Primary Router:

WAN
(configure normally)

LAN
IP Address = 192.168.1.1
DHCP Server = enabled

Wireless
SSID = Name
Channel = 13
Security = WPA Personal
Encryption = AES
Shared Key = samesharedkey
WDS = Disabled

Secondary Router:

WAN
Nothing in the WAN port

LAN
IP Address = 192.168.1.2
DHCP Server = Disabled
Wireless
Wireless Mode = WDS
SSID = Name
Channel = 13
Security = WPA Personal
Encryption = AES
Shared Key = samesharedkey
WDS = Link With primary router

From the second router, I can ping whatever I want in the LAN, but when I ping something like "www.google.com" it just doesn't work... What am I missing here?

Thanks in advance and sorry for any mistake I've made :)

Assuming WDS is already working and computers connected to the routers via Ethernet or WiFi can communicate with each other, you only need to check if the correct DNS server address is set on the computers connected to the TL-WR741N (enabling and then disabling DHCP server on it too).

Get the DNS info from computers connected to TL-WR720N. Manually assign it to the computers connected to TL-WR741N just to see if they can resolve address to IP.

Just tried that and it didn't work... I guess it's the second router's fault =/

Why do you have WDS disabled on the primary router?

Also, can you ping IP's? Like 8.8.8.8 or 192.168.1.1?

If you are trying to create two separate LAN's you most likely won't be able to with those pieces of equipment and if you are you have a clear IP subnetting conflict.

Just ensure you use only the LAN ports of the devices and your settings should work just fine. You will most likely need to disable DHCP on the second device as it will not have all the necessary information.

Also, for wireless channels you should be using 1, 6 and 11 ONLY. These are the only non-overlapping channels. Pick any two that work best for you, one for each device.
