Hard Drive not found?

TGROBBO

I have had this problem for a while and posted on several forums to try and solve the issue. Basically my 1TB WD Blue HDD doesn't show up at all in disk management. I have tried activating and deactivating the drive in BIOS but to no avail. This device definitely boots with the system. But here's the weird part, I can see the drive in Device manager. It appears under Disk Drives and has the product name WDC WD10EZEX-00WN4A0. I have taken a few screen-shots to show what i mean.

Try a different SATA port, and a different SATA cable. If it's still not working I would just say it's a bad drive.

Just realised it can't be the SATA cable/port as my BIOS picks up the drive fine and from the SATA port it is plugged into.

Would still suggest trying it in case a pin is bent or something. I really don't think it's a software issue.

A possibility is that theres something wrong with the power delivery to the drive. try a different sata power plug along with a different sata port

probably, but it dosnt hurt to try it.

another thing i just though of is that the drive could be dead. DOes the drive spin up or are there any clicking/beeping noises?

Just to be certain though, it is spinning up, correct?
