Lightworks keeps freezing and choppy audio

Hey there,

As the title says. Lightworks keeps freezing a while editing and the audio is super choppy (only while editing). When I render something it's no longer choppy.

So I'm almost 100% sure my laptop simply isn't good enough to run Lightworks. Almost. Because while editing it's only using like 3% or so of my CPU.
Another weird thing is, I don't remember having these issues before I upgraded my CPU and RAM. I wasn't using it seriously before. But I think I would remember if it kept freezing and the audio was bad while I was messing around.

I know nothing about video editors, especially complicated ones like Lightworks. So if there's a setting I can change or something that would awesome.
