You'll be set for that game until we have monitors with refresh rates of 500fps and Displayport Nein.0

250 - 300 depending on your limitations and settings.

I find that with my rig, if I run all high - max settings and play at 1080p, I get 350 - 400 fps quite easily.

When I play at my normal res (4:3 1280 x 768) I get 300 fps with a few drops to 280. I know it makes no sense and I don't know why it does this, but all my friends experience the same thing.

My Gaming Rig;  Motherboard - ASUS Maximus VI Hero | CPU - Intel i5 4670k @4.5Ghz 1.25v | GPU - GIGABYTE GTX 980 @Stock | RAM -  16GB Corsair Vengeance @1866Mhz | CPU Cooler - Corsair H100i | Storage #1 - Samsung 840 Basic 250GB SSD | Storage #2 - Sandisk II 480GB SSD | Storage #3 - 2TB 7200rpm 64mb HDDPSU - Corsair HX750 | Case - Fractal Design R4 |

You play at 1280x768 on a 980?

Hi I apologise if this is in the wrong section, but I was wondering if someone could tell me how much fps I could get on csgo with this build, normally and recording, thanks.

Not one person in here has told you that the RAM you picked isn't compatible with that motherboard and I'm really disappointed.

Also get a 250gb m.2 SSD as your boot drive, having the option and not using it is beyond silly.

DDR4 The speed is up to you, personally I fit the fastest RAM I can afford (MHZ) with the lowest CAS latency (CL) So example 3200MHz CAS 16-18-18-36, the higher the MHz and the lower the CAS the better. But I don't know your spend and needs.

Also trust me when I say get the SSD now. My gf has a 128GB m.2 SSD and the speed on the thing is insane for windows 10, she uses the hard drive for her games except for minecraft that's on her SSD and she never drops past 58fps and even then it's rarely at that, it's always on 60fps solid. She complained of montion sickness when she first played on her new rig.

The CAS rating is quite high, a lot higher than conventional DDR3 of the same speed so I'd personally avoid buying them and aim for some 3000MHz ram

Like these: http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0123ZBPDA/?tag=pcp0f-21

Something like this: http://www.aria.co.uk/Products/Storage/SSDs/M.2+PCI-E+SSD/128GB+Samsung+SM951+M.2+PCI-e+AHCI+SSD+?productId=64186&source=pcpartpicker

It reads at 2000mb/s and writes at 600mb/s

Also Felix you should consider swapping your CPU for an unlocked version so you can use the overclocking features of your motherboard.

What would be a good cooler for i5-6600k?

What would be a good cooler for i5-6600k?

if you don't want to spend much then a hyper 212 will work fine, you'll be able to do a light->medium overclock with it, I think you can pick them up mega cheap on ebay, there is one that ends in 22hours and has all it's fittings, currently priced at £10.50 and £4 postage so if that doesn't get bidded up on it's half price from retail, they retail for £30 (£.27.08 on amazon).

If you want a heavier overclock then a 240-280mm AIO will do plenty.

You play at 1280x768 on a 980?

some of the veteran players prefer using resolutions and aspect ratios from the original, because they feel more comfortable playing with those settings.
