Screen tearing?

so when im on Firefox just chilling on ltt forums and i scroll down i see a large screen tear for a second then it goes

it happens RANDOMLY when its least expected and i don’t think i would be able to take a picture of it though but there is one thing though im sure about my monitor is fine since its perfectly clean and hasn’t had ANY damage at all

i do have 35+ tabs open but my pc is able to handle it (up to 100+ i think )

i know its not such a massive issue but it can get very annoying ;-;

it happens every 5 minutes or so

im running Ubuntu 14.04

if none of that was clear enough (im known to type a paragraph and nothing makes sense to other people ) how do i stop/reduce it or will i have to live with it
