Steam No Audio

Audio works fine for everything but Steam (games and big picture)... already tried restarting Steam, can't find a solution already online.

Check your windows volume mixer, maybe volume in that is somehow turned down

Try running steam as admin?

 

Check to see your default device is set up properly in your audio settings. Right click the volume button in your task bar and select 'playback devices' and make sure your default device is correct.

Playback is alright, admin doesn't change anything

Is your audio device Realtek? Do you have the shitty Realtek audio manager program? Perhaps that can help you.

I do, and that unfortunately did not have an effect.
