Admin group not having admin rights?

I'm deploying some windows 7 machines in my organisation, but I'm having this weird issue. When the computers are built with and SOE we use, it automatically puts the "Domain Admins" group into the local administrator group on the pc (which I am a member of the Domain admins) however, on that machine some admin related things do not work, like some scripts. However if i add my user to the Administrators group, all works. any ideas why I would need to ad my Domain user profile to the Administrators group, when i'm part of the Domain admins group and that's already been added
