question, I have 0 room on my desk and 0 extra room in my office/bedroom I share with my GF. My 27" secondary monitor currently has the wii U running on it because I don't want to run it off my primary monitor. The monitor I have the Wii U on right now doesn't have speakers ( I could buy some as the monitor does support audio out) My initial plan was to get an HDMI splitter as the monitor only has 1 HDMI and 1 VGA (no dvi which is strange) then get an auxiliary cable and plug that into this half decent Bluetooth speaker I have. I then considered since I wan't to do game recordings and streams anyway that I could get a capture card and use that even when I want to play and not record. Would there be any latency between the console and what I see on my screen?

There is a lag. I don't know about pci-e capture cards like the elgato one. But it should be fine for wii u games.

hope my post made sense, wrote that on 0 sleep. Additionally... I was assuming there would be less or 0 latency with a PCI capture card v.s a USB but I believe those are more expensive or I'm wrong.
