Blender Rendering Issue

Right, so forst off, I am very bad at blender. I recently imported a template that a buddy of mine sent me, changed the text, and started rendering. However, the final product is almost totally white, with just a few pixels that hint at any motion. During the render process, the image shows up as each tile is rendered, but just as it finishes, the tile goes blank white, then goes to the next frame. Does anyone know why this is happening or how I can fix it?

I did nothing to the template. I just opened the template, changed the text, and hit render.

I'm not sure. There was no mention of it in the menu in the upper right hand corner. I should also mention that whn the frame turns white, it suddenlt becomes surrounded by more of the black and grey checkerboarding

I'd guess there's something wrong with the node setup in the compositor.
