Random Crash/ Black Screen while gaming

Go to solution Solved by nikolaizombie1,

I lived with a guy that bought a laptop, and 2 weeks later (I shit you not) it blackscreened and he had to return it to the store and wait for it to get repaired

after checking if it was the psu by swaping it out and checked the gpu. it turned out to be a gpu issue that the fan curb was causing it to shut down.

I verified this by doing a 45 minute stress test after changing the psu and gpu

Hello LTT Community,

I recently have been having random crashes followed by black screens and the computer refusing to restart until i pull the plug out the psu and waiting until all the usb peripherals have stopped receiving power .

This only seems to happen while gaming and stress testing but that games i play are cs:go and Hyperdimention Neptunia, that are not very demanding titles. So i don't know whats been going on. It seems to be psu since it has recently developed coil whine. What do you guys think? BTW Here's a parts list just in case.
