Restoring HP Backup.

So a while ago I put together my new (now old) pc transitioning from a HP Pavillion and I had to reinstall windows so I made a backup with the hp cyberlink backup software, and now I cant get it back. I have tried to get it back on another laptop but it is so shit it cant get back more than 100 files without crashing (it is a celeron). Please help!
