Hello,

 

I have an i5-4670K that should run at 3.4ghz which is the clock speed as I have never not round to overclocking it as of yet.

 

However, on using HWMonitor it shows all the cores running up to 3845MHZ, is there any reason for this?

 

Also, what do you think I could easily get from this processor as an overclock, I have an evo 212 and it runs at max 62 degress when playing GTA 5 on the best graphics i can,

Turbo boost , the CPU does it automatically, I believe you can get this CPU at 4.5Ghz with air cooling.

Graphics don't matter for cpu temps, but if you got an average 4670k you should be able to hit 4.3 - 4.5 before temps get above 85

Thankyou for the information. I'll look into turbo boost, I didn't know that was a thing.
