Hello anyone reading this, basically my dad got a new graphics card so i took his old 280x and put it into my pc to do crossfire with my 280x and all went swimmingly while both graphics cards were in the computer. However once I removed the GPU so he could sell it , as I was only testing it to see what sort of performance I could get, the PC began blue screening or if I did managed to get into a game I would get artifacting my GPU never goes above 58 degrees Celsius so it isn't that. I have a 900w xenta psu (http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/NEW-XENTA-900W-SILENT-22A-DUAL-RAIL-POWER-SUPPLY-UNIT-PCIE-SATA-MOLEX-ATX-PC-PSU-/262227897490 _trkparms=aid%3D555012%26algo%3DPW.MBE%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D20140221143856%26meid%3D2e41fac467c2464bac78bea73fd2f79b%26pid%3D100012%26rk%3D5%26rkt%3D11%26sd%3D141772045576&_trksid=p2047675.l2557&nma=true&si=ZIMC0DvlbqlCF8yz27wjktrQDBk%253D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc) this is the best info I could find about it. I believe it is the power supply but if anyone else has any ideas or stuff to try I would be more than willing to do it. Thanks in advance. Jonny.

Oh right okay, thanks I never knew that, I am thinking I should just take it out now as I just got an ASUS anti surge protection thing saying it protected me when I booted up my computer I don't wanna risk it getting damaged. Cheers guys for the help :)

Wow! I've seen some cheap-o PSUs but that's ridiculous. :) That's just stupid! If those specs are right, it's not enough for a single 280X and it's marketed as 900W?! Sounds borderline-illegal to me.

Here's my reasoning: It's supposed to be dual-rail 22A each but the max combined is 33A (where did that 11A go?) But OK, efficiency is efficiency, I get it. So 12Volts times 33 Amps is 396 Watts. Less than half of the supply's power is given to the two most (by a huge margin) power-hungry components. It doesn't say in the specs but if it really is 900W, it gives 504W for 3,3V and 5V rails. That's just stupid. Unless, you're running a hundred HDDs. But OK. Somebody might, right?

Here's the kicker: It only has a single 6-pin (is supposed to be rated at 150W) PCI-E power connector. And OP was running two R9-280Xs (250W each) out of it. That's a notable rats nest of Y-splitters and adapters right there. :) I'm amazed that the PSU didn't blow. :)

OP, Even if it wasn't your PSU causing the issues, change it. Do it yesterday, you crazy SOB. You're toying with your life.

So I got the power supply from downstairs it turned out to be coolermaster but is still 600w and has 47amps and 564w on the 12v rail. I tried this with my PC same issue so I tried the other 280x and the same again so I tried to wipe my PC and it crashed installing windows. So I went digging and found my old 460 and that works flawless is it because the 460 draws less power or should the coolermaster PSU be enough for a 280?
