Single Stick RAM Upgrade

Guys i have a pc with a 4gig stick of corsair vengeance RAM i want to upgrade to 8gigs how will i do it because i am scared that if i buy another of the same 4 gig stick it wont go on the other slot on my motherboard will it

It will fit physically.

really but my original 4gig stick wont go on the other slot so if i have the same type it wont either will it

As long as the latency and the speed is the same, you will be fine.

You will probably be fine with ram with a different speed or latency, but try to keep them the same.

look my mobo is dual channeled the ram i have now the one stick wont go on the other side of the mobo so if i buy a same stick maybe it will not fit in the other slot how can i know before buying that it will

cause if it does'nt i will have to refund it and go through all that trouble
