You would see a good performance increase in games that lack multi-gpu support. Though, I wouldn't exactly call it worth it. You should wait for the 9000 series or the 800 series and buy a card then, until now two 6950's are sufficient enough for pretty much any game, especially with crossfire support.

There will be a better power efficiency, temperature readings and much more compatibility with games as it is a single GPU configuration

Its almost the same performance as a 780, i would rather get a 7990 its about the same price if not cheaper.

Nah, I wouldn't upgrade just yet.  Maybe to one of the 9000 series depending on their performance.

Yeah no point in upgrading, you should rather wait for the 9xxxx series. or 800 if you want to wait even further.
