The 840 pro is not worth the extra money over the normal 840.

You can do with a cheaper mobo like the G45 gaming.

I'd get a different case and the Kraken x60 or better fans for the h100i. The fans that come with the h100i aren't that good and can be noisy.

A 4670k would be just as good for gaming.

A seagate barracuda would be cheaper than the caviar black. The black is not worth the price jump.

Wait for the 9000 series if possible.

^All of the above, also you could get a 550-600w PSU if you aren't planning on doing SLI. If you are I would still recommend just getting a cheaper 750w or 850w from corsair. It's kind of crazy to pay almost 300$ for a 760w PSU.

Setup Video -----------Peasant Crushing Specs----------- 4K Benchmarks

-CPU- i7 3930k @4.8GHz 1.4v -Mobo- Asus Rampage IV Extreme -GPUs- 2x GTX Titan Hydrocopper SLI -RAM- 32GB (8x4GB) Corsair Vengeance 1600MHz -Storage- 500GB Samsung 840 SSD | 2TB WD Green HDD

I'd shoot for a 800w bronze for a pair of overclocked 780's.

You have a nice red theme, the PSU leaves you room for adding a second 780 and OC. Speaking of OC you have H100i with SP120 fans, you can pull out awesome overclocks with that cooler. The case offers plenty of ventilation and removable dust filters, and it looks awesome. I added a 250GB SSD as a boot drive and 2TB HDD as mass storage. I also added an optical drive if you need it.

My rig: CPU: Intel core i5 4670K MoBo: MSI Z87-G45 Gaming RAM: Kingston HyperX Beast 2x4GB 1600mhz CL9 GPU: EVGA GTX780 SC ACX SSD: ADATA Premier Pro SP900 256GBHDD: Western Digital RED 2TB PSU: FSP Aurum CM 750W Case: Cooler Master HAF XM OS: Windows 8 Pro

Well he can get a TX 850 for 100$ cheaper than the PSU he's planning on getting.

For dual 780's in Aus that's at least $1,500AUD so I don't think so

My Current Rig: CPU: i7 4790k @ 4.8Ghz CPU Cooler: H100i MOBO: Gigabyte Z97X SOC GPU: XFX Radeon HD 7950 Tahiti pro (Died 6/07/2014 RIP) & PowerColour HD7950  GPU Cooler: NZXT G10 W/ Corsair H55 HDD&SSD: Seagate Barracuda 1TB + Corsair GS 128GB + Samsung 840 EVO 250GB PSU: Corsair RM 750 Case: Fractal Design Arc Midi R2.

In Australia a GTX 780 is close to $750-$900 I dont think it is going to fit in the budget if he also gets other really high quality components.

thanks for the comments guys,

do u think its worth going for the higher end gear so i can upgrade when needed and not have to upgrade alot of components?

Yes, its good to be futureproof, so for example PSU with more voltage and Mobo that supports SLI/Crossfire X are good if you're going to add a second card. Storage should be good as well if you're going to use it in another build (in future) as well.

No such thing as future proof.

It's better to get mid range value parts now and get better parts for cheaper later on. It costs less and you get more consistent performance over time.

So WoodenMarker you would suggest waiting for the new 9000 series to come out and prices to drop ?

If you're not in a rush, yes.

Fyi, you need to quote a post or else the person won't get a notification you replied to them.
