Tutorials on making a drive partition

Does anyone know of any guides/tutorials on making storage partitions? Or is it easy enough that you can just explain it? Thanks!

It's extremely easy depending on what OS you are planning to install.

Usually you just boot from OS disc/flash drive, format the drive until there is only one, empty partition, or clear the drive so the unpartitioned space takes up the whole drive. Press the button that says create partition, choose the size, and you're good. This is how you do it with Windows XP, with Windows 7 or 8, it should be easier.

In Windows, you go to Disk Management. Pick a drive and create partitions of sizes via volumes.
