I would get a 4670k personally

I like intel don't get me wrong im using it right now, but hasswell is such a gamble with overclocks, and if i get a 8350 and get it to 5ghz (not that i need it) it would crush everything in its price range. Also games are looking like they will be using more cores and optimized for amd.

AMD is still good for builds abover $800 too, the FX8350 is still a boss cpu and the only time i would take a 4670k over it is if i was doint an itx or matx build.

I would use AMD only if my budget would be around $400 and everything would have to be built from scratch (all components). Anything higher, I would either try and find a good intel deal, or even go for older generation i3 / i5 depending on the budget. I believe that intel is much more upgradable, it is easier to do. For example, for one of my clients, I build a system based on socket 1155 and put a sandybridge i3, 6 months later he felt he needed something stronger and had the money for it, so I installed i5 3570k for him and OC'd it a bit. With AMD, its very limited.

LOL why didnt you but an fx6300 instead of i3 (more powerful) then put an FX8350 in (cheaper and overclocks like a boss)

I'm so sick of fanboys, i like both brands and if you have a decent budget then yes go intel the 3770k/4770k are amazing processors but honestly i think the fx8350 will have an edge of the 4670k only time you cant use the fx8350 is in matx and itx systems which is stupid that they don't make mobos for that application.

I had to go intel cause I don't believe in amd at least for me

The GT 630 is a rebadged GT 440 which is crap compared to the A10-6800k at stock speeds and 2133 ram (which is supported out of the box).

Mein Führer... I CAN WALK !!

I wouldn't call my self a Fanboy like you said, but I do trust Intel and have better experience with it. My client was thinking of upgrading with time, and the computer was clearly for gaming (not very CPU intensive). Because I was lucky enough to find an i3 at a very good price, it was a no-brainer, just had to be it I guess. Also, like a said before, it was a computer that could be easily upgraded over time, and the choice in AMD motherboards is really low for the form factor I wanted, and they are pricey.

Hybrid Graphics FTW!

Edit: Changed the link, Upped the ram to 2400 for some more bandwith, it was only $10 more.

No point in hybrid CF. A single overclocked 7770 would be easily better.

No point pairing an APU with a dedicated gpu--at least not yet.

I think this is quite good for your money only the im not 100% on is the psu as i haven't heard much about it...

AMD...is pricey?

Something like this is more viable for gaming at that price point. http://pcpartpicker.com/p/IkEl

Motherboards... decent ones at least. I will not argue about my choices, I have made them well and the customer is happy, so I see no problem. Now he rocks on an i5 and gtx 670, and is more than happy. And still has room to upgrade, doesn't have to change the platform...

just run it as high as the board allows, the ram can handle it, it's like overbuilding psus

Well thats what I mean, the highest the board support 2133 but it has to be OC, not non OC'd RAM
