Hi there folks! Thank you for taking a look at this post and offering help; really appreciate it. So currently Im running on a laptop almost at it's limits. This Pavilion g6 has served me well, but I think its time for a small upgrade. I am not very familiar with PC and have limited knowledge of monitors, sound cards, etc. I apologize if anything I have listed below have limited info.

1. Budget & Location
So my budget is around $500-$600 (adding an extra $100 max). This is in Canadian currency, since I live in Canada ;)

2. Aim
So I just want a small upgrade from my laptop. I dont do much gaming besides the occasional League of Legends or Osu!

I play some steam games, but they aren't games that require crazy high end builds. Some examples include Binding of Isaac, Payday The Heist, and Shower with your Dad Simulator 2015 (Yes this is a real game go search it up)

3. Monitors
So I added an extra $100 to this build because I do not have a monitor. Im fine with anything, but something that's 1600x900 would be nice

4. Peripherals
Like I said above, I need a monitor and most likely OS; perhaps Windows 8 or 10? I already own a mouse, mic, and keyboard that I am very happy with. I also have an Ethernet cable (I don't know if that info is significant or not...).

Once again I thank you very much for reading my dumb post haha.

I will gladly answer and questions!

Have a nice day.

Not a good CPU/Motherboard ratio, that's a really low end motherboard that really no one should use

and the A10 probably isn't worth it over the A8 7650K, APUs are too bottlenecked by RAM so the A10 generally doesn't end up much faster despite the extra GPU cores

I don't think any cards really work under linux flawlessly, more less worse, but AMD is getting their, and they're the company that actually tends to care about freedom.

Plus when Vulkan drops AMD cards look to support it better than current gen nvidia cards

This might be a dumb question, but is not having a dedicated gpu going to be fine for the limited gaming I do?

It's an APU it has a pretty solid iGPU you just need fast memory to have it work better, look at the benchmarks, It'll run most games at a playable level at 1080p lower settings, LoL even more so as it's not that hard to run, although we really step you up to dota, but eh. It's doing about 30fps 1080p on High for dota, so lower settings will get it closer to 60 which is preferable, and you can always throw in a dedicated GPU at some point down the line, a 380 is probably the best upgrade currently

Also here's one running Civ V on 3 displays at somewhat playable frame rates anyways
