So I have a spare 500GB hard drive laying around that, at the moment works just fine. But it is throwing errors on in the Bios on multiple machines after multiple formats. My main rig has a 500GB SSD for boot and a 2TB array. I have a 350GB steam library that is taking up a lot of space on my array, and I was thinking of moving my games to this 500GB drive.

But the error messages are going to be a major annoyance for sure, and while I could disable the notifications for drive errors, I would like to know if one of my other drives is throwing errors.

Any ideas on how to disable whatever is flagging this switch on the hard drive, like in a hex editor or something like that?

You're not a man unless you lost your virginity to a 2x4.
