I recently bought an Audio Technica AT2020 and I'm ashamed to say I just can't get it to record anything. It's plugged in via XLR to my Focusrite Scarlett Solo interface. The drivers for the interface have been downloaded. Windows is detecting the Scarlett Solo but it doesn't say anything about the AT2020 under sound in control panel (I don't even know if it should).

Obviously, this is my first time trying to mess with audio stuff, so any help would be greatly appreciated.

You're PC won't detect the microphone, only the Focusrite.  What software are you trying to record with?  You'll need to select the proper source in whatever software you are using.  Also make sure you have the 48V phantom power on for the AT2020.
