can i miss match 660ti's like asus with msi. i currently have http://www.amazon.com/MSI-DisplayPort-PCI-Express-N660TI-3GD5/dp/B009K1PY42/ref=sr_1_1/190-3546015-2000148?ie=UTF8&qid=1378060835&sr=8-1&keywords=660+ti+3gb can i pair that with a card with different memory specs and i think a different pcb like http://www.amazon.com/Graphics-Overclocked-Edition-GTX660-TI-DC2O-2GD5/dp/B008Y65MUA/ref=sr_1_15/190-3546015-2000148?ie=UTF8&qid=1378060835&sr=8-15&keywords=660+ti+3gb

 

i think linus said this is possible in a previous video but i just want make sure

It will be fine, the ASUS card will slow down to the MSI card's clock speed.

The msi cards usually boost higher, so the asus would slow down in this case

 

Go with 660ti sli, this will get you about the performence of a 780

Definitely. It will perform about the same as a GTX 780.

I recently upgraded from one 660 ti to 2 in SLI. After OCing and finding a stable gpu/mem clock I was able to get my FireStrike Extreme Score on 3DMark to 4705 (Titan / 4770k = Over All Score is 4710) I was pretty shocked at my results. I only really got another 660 ti because I was able to get it used for 150$. It may be worth upgrading to a 7970, now that they are so cheap, and trying to sell your 660 ti.
