Hi guys.
So there are some topics on ltt where somebody replied with this software as an answer but theres no topic about this.

Autohotkey is a software you can use to do TONS of things. For example, you can bind "capslock" to "minimize a window". That is like 1 of many millions of examples. It has no ui tho. So this software is a little bit weird. You need to script yourself in order to make bindings. This topic is no tutorial, so you have to get on their forums or google if you want to know more. It has a long learning curve.

Site: http://www.autohotkey.com/

I find this software so usefull that i don't see why i would need macros again. I did miss my k90 macros tbh(sold it), but this software solves it. i even prefer this rather than macros, because there are so many options , you can use tab+y as a bind for example.

Yes it's hard to learn all the code, but you can just copy scripts from their forums or other sites. you can even bind a key to move you mouse to a location. You can just be really creative with this software, and you can do cool things that arent even hard.

I just made 1 folder where im going to put all the scripts. I have these for example:

You can use the top one to minimize the current window. Here's the simple script:

You can use the second one to select a text anywhere, then press ctrl+shift+c to search it up automatically on google:

Tbh, i didn't code these myself. I searched up on some cool bindings and just copied them.

But as i recently got into the software, i wanted to ask, are there any people here that use the software? And have some cool scripts? Do you like the software?

Do you have a kboard without media keys? NO PROBLEM, You can make one with autohotkey.
I love this software and i highly recommend this to ANYBODY. I don't even have a programming background and this software is still usefull for me.

:>

Edit: Their youtube channel has some tuts:http://www.youtube.com/user/ahkTuts/videos. and there are tons of other youtube videos you can watch.

Used it quite alot for work. Made scripts to log into switches, complete with debug GUI, different mothods for logging in etc. Me and my colleague made some pretty awesome stuff with it :)

That said, some anti cheat programs like Punkbuster, aren't very happy with it. SInce it can control your mouse = very basic aimbots. So I don't really use it on my personal rig.

However it's a super powerfull and extremely simpel scripting language to learn.

Sweet thanks man. Recently lost my media keys when I got a filco tenkeyless keyboard and this has helped me changing song on spotify again with actually having to press the button. Going to try and make one myself for putting the computer to sleep.

My rig: i5 2500k, MSI Z77A G45, Gainward GTX 980 Phantom, 8GB Corsair Vengeance, OCZ ZT series 750W PSU, 1TB HDD, 800D, fully water cooled. I am currently working on modding my HAF 912+ to fit a custom loop, here is the build log: http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/165963-project-viridis-water-cooled-haf-912/
