Greetings.

So which design would best suite my planned chilled water loop ?

Dual Pump Recirculating Res ( 1 Pump circulating water between chiller and res, a another pump circulating water between res and PC)

Dual pump Res

Single Pump Direct Flow (Normal inline res)

single pump Res

Also, should the dual pump setup be better, where's the best locations for the inlets and outlets?

Pump suggestions ?

Currently thinking MCP655(s)

The chiller and res will be in the loft, the PC in the room below.

Also the chiller requires at least 1200L/H of Flow.

Hence the MCP655 ( R ). Even the inline config will likely need 2.

i've had a 1/6hp chiller in the basement with 20' ft tubing runs with one single

D5 and had no flow issues. issue that could be a problem is the storage tank on

the chiller. if not a sealed tank, then this could be a problem. you are trying to

make a hydraulic motion system. no air in the lines to allow the feed to easily

flow. even to say, i slowed down the pump from number 4 to number 3 with

no adverse temperature or flow issues.

Ill be using a 1Hp chiller. *Hailea HC1000).

The res is likely to be a cold water loft storage tank, so it wont be sealed, at least not like a tube res. Unless I can find an alternative.
