How do hard drives work?

Go to solution Solved by JakePC,

My question:If i put my hard drive from my old PC with windows 10 installed on it will it work on my new build.

It might, however driver conflicts could force you to reinstall Windows anyway. You will also more than likely need to reactivate. This tutorial probably gives you the best hope.

As long as it's SATA and your new computer has SATA, it will.

W10 on the other hand will not activate if the motherboard is different.
