Monitors please help

Hello

 

     I asked for a monitor for Christmas, but my I got a TV instead, I am not complaining. I was just like whatever I can still use it as a monitor and a TV right. But when I plugged it into my computer it does not look correct. It looks hazy. It does not make sense. Both monitors are 24 inch 16:9 and 1080p. I think it is some of the settings but I do not know what settings to change to fix this.

Why is the tv bad or what could be causing the hazyness?
