counter strike global offensive won't launch

I just bought it an hour ago.

every time I try to launch it, it won't, a black screen comes up and nothing happens and I can't alt+tab or open task manger to close it (ctrl + Del + alt)

I have to restart my PC

any advice is highly appreciated

try reinstalling

verify the game cache if that doesnt work reinstall

I just finished reinstalling, this time to my ssd

I will try launching it now
